Surf Tours are the go!

Surf Shop Barcelona is about to close the books for exhibitors. Quiksilver Surfboards, Channel Islands Surfboards and Clothing, Gratis USA, Da Kine, Rusty Surfboards, Aeon Footwear, Kingpin Magazine, Square, Sexwax, etc. are some of the brands presenting their products at the trade show on 13th - 15th September.

The latest Exhibitors to sign up include New Cell Division, Four Way Fin Systems, Blue Lotus Surf Boards, Ocean Coast Surf Trips, MBS Mountain Board Europe  and Cabool Australia and they promise the success of this new, professional and specialized trade event. Visitors will find individuality amongst some well known and core labels to include in their stores for next season, all under one roof.

In addition, some of the brands already confirmed have announced new innovations in their showcase. Euroglass is bringing the Quiksilver Tour Bus with the theme of “If you can’t Rock ‘n’ Roll, Don’t Fuckin’ come” which will be transformed into an office.   In the Board Gallery Quiksilver is setting up dvds of their shapers, Mark Phipps, Darren Handley and Phil Grace to illustrate to visitors the current developments in surfboard technology.

Surf Shop Barcelona 2005 is seizing this opportunity to hold seminars on topics related to the boardsports industry and its tendencies. From 13th to 15th September conferences will be held on topics such as the surf, windsurf, kitesurfing and skate scene guided by professionals and open to debate to anyone who has anything interesting to add.

Mehdi DEVAUX from NOMAD SKATEBOARDS will focus on the major players of this market who include Spanish brands, Distributors, Retailers and the Media and the evolutions and trends of this constantly changing market within a European context.

Ignacio ABAITUA from PUKAS and LOST will come to speak about the Surfing Industry in Spain and how it is developing within Europe as a whole.

A spokesperson from Boardsports Source Magazine will be present to talk about the industry from the Media’s point of view.

The skate park will be great entertainment and Pros will be dropping in to test out new products on the market.

Grafitti artists will be making a scene near the ramp and Artists and Surfboard Shapers will be displaying their work in the Art / Board Gallery which contains work not only from some of the most famous shapers in the world but also from some highly respected “surfing” artists like Francois Lartigau (Freelance Quiksilver Artist), Meegan Feori (Californian based Artist and surfer), Matty Thomas (photographic Artist); Thierry Organoff (Surf Photographer), Pascal Jean Delorme (Action Sports Artist), amongst others.

Heaps of Retailers from Department stores, Sports Shops, Specialised Surf Shops, Skate Shops and Distributors looking for new lines are currently pre registering online and they are very enthusiastic about the presence of Surf Shop in Barcelona.
