We have recently installed a Search Engine so that you can quickly search the hundreds of pages on the Gumby Lock web site.

We wanted to give all of you a heads up on some new info put up on the Groundswell Society site. The Groundswell Society just wrapped our Third Annual SASIC Conference. It was held at the Dana Point Doubletree Inn and a good time was had by all. We thank all who attended and spoke at this groundbreaking event. Check out the news section of our site to read a speech given by Fernando Aguerre, President of Reef, that we feel is especially poignant.
On Feb. 28 and 29, we will be holding our 8th Annual Rincon Cleanwater Classic at Rincon Beach. We have moved our date up in hopes of getting some late season winter swell at the "queen of the coast". As you may know in the past three years we have held the contest in less than desirable surf conditions, but have had a great time nonetheless. Come on out and support your favourite non-profit, surf club or locals and legends team.
Also we have posted information about The Groundswell Society's Annual Scholarship which goes to one lucky surfer/scholar. For more info on how to apply check out the news section.

21st Anniversary of the 2004 Malfunction on the Gold Coast
The Super 8’s Gold Coast Malibu Club has commenced its preparation for the 21st anniversary of Australia’s Number One Longboarding event, ‘The 2004 Malfunction’, and we are inviting you to be apart of it.
Since it’s inauguration in 1983, The Malfunction has attracted national and international interest in the surfing fraternity as one of the longest running surfing events. Over the past twenty years The Malfunction has gained a good reputation as a very competitive and family orientated event, attracting over 250 competitors in over 12 events.
The 2004 Malfunction is set to be bigger and better then in previous years and we need your help to make it possible.
The sponsorship varies from major sponsor to division sponsors, as well as minor sponsors which make the event possible. In return for your support we will seek to promote your company throughout the duration of the competition at various levels of your choice.
If you are interested in sponsoring the 2003 Malfunction please contact us on the above numbers and we will send you a general sponsorship guide. Malfunction dates are set for 19 – 22nd February 2004.
