In keeping with our ongoing search for ways to protect your stuff, Gumby Lock have come up with the Gumby Lanyard.

The Gumby Lock Lanyard was developed to save surfers having to put their car at risk by stashing their car keys under the wheel arch. An easy target for thieves while surfers are in the water.

Some lanyards will slip over your head in big surf or if you get dumped but the Gumby Lock Lanyard has a unique tension ball that stops this from happening.

Put the Gumby Lock Lanyard over your head and slide the tension ball up the lanyard until it is just below your chin. Make sure that the lanyard is comfortable but not loose enough to slip over your head. Then just slide the lanyard round your neck so that the key is down your back not your front, see photo below.

The Gumby Lock Lanyard is generally worn backwards under your rash vest or wet suit so that your car key doesn't dig into your chest when paddling. Some people even attach the Gumby Lock Lanyard to their sun hat while surfing to stop it from going to the depths.

Ask your local surf shop for the Gumby Lock Lanyard. They retail for about AU$5.00

By the way a Gumby Lock Lanyard is also included in every Gumby Lock retail pack.
